Dust Bunnies and Pottermore

Today I've been preparing for an all out war against dust bunnies as I prepare to clean the house for company. I've pulled out dusters, windex, paper towels, the vacuum, and the broom. Tomorrow, the war begins. I'm glad I don't have to worry about cleaning outside as it seems to be the time of the year when spiders out. I almost walked right into a crablike spiny orb weaver spider when I watered the hydrangeas.

I've also been doing my best to rack up points for Ravenclaw on Pottermore. It's not the house I wanted to be (the Sorting Hat on Pottermore doesn't take your requests into account), but since that's where I got sorted I might as well make the most of it. My goal for today is to get my earned house points up to at least four hundred and twenty-five. Hopefully I'll brew while wagging my war against dust bunnies without forgetting about my potions tomorrow. My goal for tomorrow will be five hundred.

Zoroark and Hummingbirds

I'm very excited today since this is going to be the first day that Zoroark will be available at ToysRUs. At level 50 with the special first-time-seen move Snarl, Zoroark is delivered to your Pokemon Black or White game in a cherish ball via 'mystery gift.' He'll be available until Sept. 25.

On another note, hummingbird food/feeders. It seems like I'm constantly making more food for them all the time. One hummingbird has taken to chasing all the others away from the feeder. We use sugar water (half a cup of sugar for two cups water) since the red nectar they sell in stores actual hurts their reproduction. Recently every time I refill the hummingbird food, there is mold in the feeder. It's really a pain to have clean and scrub. Anyone have any ideas on how to keep the mold from forming?

Welcome!

I've come to the realization that some of the things I do and enjoy have real meaning and value to me, but they may be nothing except tidbits of information to other people. Despite that, here is where I'm going to take up space to share my thoughts (which includes opinions), likes (which includes but is not limited to Harry Potter, books, writing, drawing, cooking, art, Amazon, anime, manga, Disney, video games, and flip flops), and dislikes (such as spiders and cockroaches). I feel the need to share this information just to simply express it, but my greatest hope is that those who read it will have valued it as much as I do.
