So Nintendo announced December 2, 2011 that Wii would be getting Xenoblade Chronicles! Xenoblade, a JRPG, is set for release next April and will only be available through the Nintendo Store and Game Stop. This is very exciting news (especially for those following Operation Rainfall) as Nintendo said that they had no plans to localize this game. So yay and jump up and down! We're halfway through step 1 (the other part of step 1 is to buy/pre-order Xenoblade).
I'm really more interested in step 2: getting The Last Story, which is created by the same guy who created the Final Fantasy series, localized. It looks amazing. Pandora's Tower (step 3) has gorgeous graphics as well. I have a feeling that the Xenoblade sales are going to depend on whether or not we get these two games as well. In truth, I have no real desire to play Xenoblade. I played Xenosaga for the PS2, but it just wasn't interesting enough for me to make it to the end. The only reason I'm going to pre-order Xenoblade is that its sales might have an effect on getting The Last Story and Pandora's Tower. I think the probability is high for getting The Last Story (I mean, the last game this guy created has 14+ sequels), but I'm worried about Pandora's Tower. It looks so gorgeous, but interest in it doesn't seem to be as high as for Xenoblade and The Last Story. Hopefully once the other two games are out interest in Pandora's Tower will increase.
